Lighting Technique - Film Noir

This is a rough sketch of how I am going to solve my problem of depth. The plan is to add more lights to the traditional lighting setup, the two lights in the background will be there while the performer raps. The reason the lights are going to be within the framing of the shot is because I don't want to have to spend loads of money on a hairlight, instead I will use two lights I already have as part of the mise en scene. This will kill two birds with one stone in the sense that it will act as a strong hairlight because there are two and this will further help with my problem of depth because it will create a barrier between the background and the artist.
